About:
I am a Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health from Liberty University. I work with individuals, children, adolescents, and families who are struggling with various issues including parenting difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, as well as trauma recovery or post traumatic growth.
I believe that even through the most tragic circumstances, people can heal and experience wholeness. Some special areas I work with include the military community, multiculturalism, spiritual integration, and a family systems approach to wellness.
With many years leading in various ministry roles in my local church and helping facilitate spiritual retreats, I am able to approach the healing process using tools from the scriptures and biblically sound sources. Along with education and training in sound mental health techniques including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-based interventions my aim is to guide the healing process through the whole integrated self. This includes mind, soul, and spirit.
Together, we can uncover experiences that have scripted unhealthy thought, emotional, and behavior patterns. Through inner work based in acceptance and compassion, you can develop a healthier life mentally, emotionally, and relationally.
