About:
Yvonne is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT. Yvonne has worked at Child Guidance Clinics and extended day treatment programs in Waterbury and in New Britain as well as having her own practice in Granby, CT where she focused more on couples and individual adults.
Yvonne likes to view therapy from a systemic framework and likes to get as many members of the family involved as are willing to participate so that the individual’s growth process can impact the whole family in a positive way. Yvonne uses a solution focused style of therapy helping the client to come up with the solutions that best work for them in making positive changes for their lives. She will also help individuals and family members walk through their healing process by helping them to reframe their past experiences as opportunities to grow and impact the lives of others.
